I can freely admit that patience is not my strong point. I'm patient with people though and I loved my job when I worked in the medical field. Or, rather, I loved the people I took care of rather than my co-workers but most days it was a great job.
But I'm not good at waiting on results, hearing back about grades or anything that's actually out of my control. Which is why I'm throwing myself into writing even more so than usual so that I can distract myself from wondering what publishers thought of my three most recent submissions.
So that brings me to what I'm thinking about. I've got two shorts for different anthologies for two more new to me publishers that I'm going to get done next week but after that I don't know what to work on next. I've got a huge list of works in progress but I don't know what to work on next. So many choices, so much that I want to get done and after I do these two really quick shorts I'll figure out which WIP speaks to me most.
My biggest challenge this year is writing 65,000 words a month which is completely reasonable and able to be done. If I keep up with it. I know the hourly goal I have to hit in order to be able to do that so hopefully its something I can keep up with. I managed to finish my writing goals for last month and plan to do so again in March.
